Claremont Has Fourth Armed Robbery

Claremont had its fourth armed robbery last night this time it was the EZ Mart convenience store on 127 Maple Ave. just after 8:30 pm. Police say the suspect is a white male between 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing tan pants , a tan jacket, pink scarf, a hat/hoodie and ski goggles. The man said he had a gun and demanded money from the clerk but showed no gun. The ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of money to an area behind the Hitching Post Restaurant. Maple Lanes went into lock down with about 20 patrons inside until the scene was cleared.
The suspect left the Jiffy Mart with an undisclosed amount of money and ran to the area behind the Hitching Post Restaurant.
A K-9 handler from NH State Police Troop C assisted with a track of the suspect, and initial investigation obtain possible DNA of the suspect.
The robbery is currently under investigation. Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photos or has possible information is asked to call the Claremont Police Department at 542-9538
On Dec 11, police identified James M. Oberfeldt 30 of Claremont for the Oct 11 armed robbery of One Credit Union and the Nov.26 armed robbery of the Maple Ave. branch of the Claremont Savings Bank, just doors away from the EZ Mart. Claremont police arrest James R. Perry 25 of Claremont on New Year’s Eve for an armed robbery earlier that day at the Jiffy Mart on Elm and North Streets.
