Sullivan County Bio Mass Getting On Line

biomass2Although some tweaking and tinkering is still needed, the Sullivan County Bio Mass plant is about ready to go on line. John Cressy, project director says the boiler was running last week, but only made steam to heat the nursing home for a couple hours. It was shut down for the long weekend, and it is expected to be fired up tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to begin heating and keeping the plant online. Ground breaking for the plant took place last May and the wood chip burning bio mass plant is expected to save the county $35,000 annually
