Two Springfield VT residents were arrested and held at the Southern State Correctional Facility for possession of 100 bags heroin after they were stopped for speeding on I-91 in Rockingham just before 8 pm on Tuesday. Vermont State Police say while talking with the occupants they discovered one of the passengers Devin Pratt, 24 had an active VT arrest warrant and police found marijuana on him. The driver Tamasi Bowers 24 gave police permission to search the car, where police found 6 bags of heroin in the glove box and 94 bags of heroin in a hidden compartment of a can located in a pouch on the backside of the passenger seat.
While at the Barracks, a search of Pratt’s person revealed he was also in possession of hallucinogenic drugs as well as a controlled substance hidden in his groin. Both will appear in Windham Court on Nov. 16.
