Part Time Bus Driver Fired For DUI

SchoolbusA part-time school bus driver who has since been fired is pleading not guilty to charges of D-U-I, reckless endangerment and negligent operation. 59-year-old Ken Quillia is accused of driving drunk last September, first taking two special-needs students from Bethel to Hartford and then driving a middle school soccer team. A para-educator on board noticed erratic driving and called the principal, who called police. Court records say Mountain Dew bottles containing whiskey were found on the bus, which Quillia admitted to bringing with him.
