New London Selectboard Hears Noise Complaint

boardinghouseThis is the first time a noise complaint regarding the actors at the boarding house has gone to the Selectboard as far as Chairman of the New London Barn Playhouse, Tom De Mille knows. The complaints began in May with a letter from Fred Sladen and have continued throughout the summer. According to Acting Police Chief Ed Anderson the police were called 19 times this past season for complaints ranging from parties to car doors closing too loud. DeMille says he has made efforts to please his neighbors.. The boarding house is located on Whipple Court and houses 6-7 actors with the others staying in the home behind the Playhouse. No action was taken by the Selectboard on the matter
