Croydon’s Open House for School Choice on Saturday was well attended by parents and representatives from Concord, Kearsarge, Keene, Kimball Union Academy, Lebanon, Newport, Newport Montessori, Plainfield, Sunapee and Claremont/Unity schools. Tom Howard who helped get school choice for Croydon student’s when he was a state representative was on hand and said competition is good. Parents were also pleased with various options available parent Beverly LaPoint says her son was set on Newport until he came to the fair and now he sees he has another choice that might fit. Croydon will pay $15,000 towards school tuition to any school parents send their students. Because of its success the Croydon School Board has decided to make this an annual event each spring.
