Ludlow Man Killed in Crash in Cavendish VT

fatal crashA Ludlow man was killed last night after he drifted over the yellow center line in his Jeep Grand Cheokee and hit a 2007 International tractor trailer truck on Rt. 103 in Cavendish Vt.  Police say Brenton Stillwell 29, was pronounced dead at Springfield Hospital after he was ejected from his Jeep. Robert Morris 52, of Panton VT and driver of the tractor trailer received no injuries but taken to Springfield Hospital as a precaution.  Vermont State Police along with Chester Police, Proctorville Fire, Ludlow Fire and Ludlow Rescue responded to the scene and the road was closed for several hours. Police are still being investigating as to why Stilwell’s vehicle traveled over the center line.

    Check his cell phone and see what is on the screen. If it is a text, then…….there’s the cause of the accident. He was reading a text. :(

      Brenton was a good man, friend & father. He is a hard worker & there is no doubt in my mind that he fell asleep & now at peace. For he felt no pain or suffering, but it was time for the Lord called him home. Rest in peace love. C.E.H
