Close to 150 people attended the final Ladies Auxiliary Bingo at the Croydon Fire Station all seeking the $4,700.00 jackpot.Bingo has been played in Croydon every Thursday night for the past 37 years and was even mentioned in the book “Light on Snow” by Anita Shreve. Bingo began in Croydon at the Town Hall to raise money to build the current fire station.The Croydon Fire Department evicted the Auxiliary after the Auxiliary sued the fire department for unlimited access to the Fire Station.
