Carrier Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter Charge

carrierDavid Carrier will spend up to 30 years in prison for running over Claremont resident Arthur Desilets with a van last year, but he will have to spend the rest of his life knowing he killed a friend.
“I am sorry for my actions that have caused you so much pain and suffering.” said Carrier, 48, during the plea and sentencing hearing held in Sullivan County Superior Court on Friday.
Carrier turned himself in to police in April, 2012, after he ran over Desilets, 45, with his handicapped accessible van. Carrier has been in a wheelchair since a 2007 car accident. This story from the Eagle Times.
