Claremont Man Injured In Newbury Motorcycle Accident

accidentA Claremont man is in DHMC in critical condition after he was ejected from his motorcycle on Route 103 in Newbury just after 3:30 pm on Monday. Claremont City Council member Nick Koloski was traveling on the road when he happened upon the accident and exited his car to help. Koloski said there was no cell service to call for help and he yelled to other drivers who stopped “to drive till they get service and call 911.” Koloski was surprised to see that the injured biker was a resident of Claremont, Toby Blanchard 37. Newbury Police and Fire Department were on the scene and Blanchard was taken to DHMC by New London ambulance. The operator of the other vehicle involved was not injured. The accident is under investigation.
