Unity Board Ponders Grant for New School

unityA $50,000 grant has been offered to the Unity School District to assist in the completion of the town’s new elementary school.
“This came a quite a surprise,” SAU 6 Superintendent Dr. Middleton K. McGoodwin said at the Unity School Board meeting Tuesday night.
The grant is being offered by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, through its Common Sense Fund. No check has been issued as of yet and the school board did not vote one way or another to accept the grant Tuesday night because board members had questions about the wording of a letter sent to McGoodwin from the foundation, which announced the offering of the grant. McGoodwin said he would get the questions answered and report back to the board. This story from the Eagle Times.
