Sunapee Holds Public Hearing on Wendell Marsh

wendellSunapee held the first of three public hearings on the Wendell Marsh -North Conservation project. Van Webb of the Conservation Commission, and Beth A. McGuinn Land Protection Specialist with the Ausbon Sargent Land Trust gave a brief presentation of the plan for the 136 acre to be purchased from Dr. Jolyon  Johnson at below market and appraised value. Until recently, it was slated to be used for a water bottling facility that would draw water from underground and ship it away from our region. The second public hearing is slated for Monday, Aug. 25 at 7 pm.
