Plane lands on I-89 In New London

A single engine Cessna made an emergency landing Sunday afternoon on I-89 North at mile marker 34. The pilot, John F. Principe of Washington told troopers, the aircraft lost power he thought the safest place to land was the highway. Karl R. Kloeppel 66 of Newport was a passenger in the plane. Neither man was injured. There was no reported damaged to the plane. The plane was disassembled at the New London transfer station and towed to Parlin Field in Newport.
Troopers were assisted by the New London Police and Fire Departments, and the Sunapee Police Department.
