Traffic Changes and Events for Rockingham Old Home Days

Bellows Falls Police want to inform drivers of traffic changes for Rockingham Old Home Days oDSC_0119.NEFn Saturday.
Starting at 7 pm, the New Arch Bridge to Walpole will be closed.
Rockingham Street will be closed from Cumberland Farms to the Square.
Westminster Street at Church Street will be closed.
NO VEHICLES WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE INTO THE SQUARE
Be please patient and watch for pedestrians.

Bellows Falls/Rockingham celebrate Old Home Days on Saturday.

The town of Rockingham will celebrate Old Home Days August 3 & 4th this year, and there are so many events planned that everybody will find something. This is the “best fireworks show on the banks of the Connecticut River” on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 9:30 p.m.

The two-day event promises to have family entertainment, food, music, games, rides, sidewalk sales and the farmers market on Friday August 2. The Old Home Days celebration is 107 years old, and brings thousands of people to Bellows Falls for the Saturday night fireworks.

“The event started in 1906 as an annual pilgrimage to the Rockingham Meeting House.

The fun starts on , August 3, Starting with the 2nd Annual “Bring It Home” 5k Run/Walk

Hosted by the Greater Falls Regional Chamber of Commerce

All proceeds support the Rockingham Old Home Days & Fireworks!

Date: Saturday, August 3, 2013

Registration: 7:30 am at TD Bank parking lot

Race Time: 8:30 am

Fee: $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for children

Exploring Rockingham at the Fish Ladder from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

Athens pizza-eating contest at noon, Dari Joy ice cream-eating contest at 1 p.m. Shona Grill hotdog eating contest at 3:pm

This year we will be in the square and at the waypoint center, The fireworks will begin around 9:30 p.m. to end the evening.

Rockingham Old Home Days has something for everybody, the planning of this event takes many months and endless volunteer hours. Stop by Bellows Falls, have a good time and feel the sense of community this event bring about.

GMRR Railroad will be running it’s fireworks train, At The Waypoint Center Family amusements & food booths: Bellows Falls Moose will be BBQ, Athens Pizza, Thai Cuisine, Lemonade, Inflatables Bounce houses, Spectris, Intercept
