Open Claremont Council Seats Draw 10 Citizens

Claremont City CouncilTen Claremont residents are vying for the two open city council seats as all the letters of interest came in to City Hall Wednesday by the 5 p.m. deadline.
Francis Gauthier and Carolyn Towle are the only candidates for the Ward 1 seat, made vacant when Victor Bergeron was elected assistant mayor. Suzanne Moore, Jon Simonds, Reginald Johnson, Joel Tremblay, John Kinton, John Hamel, Charlene Lovett, and Robert Picard all put in applications for the at-large post that was opened up when Tom Burnham resigned suddenly at the last council meeting.This story from the Eagle Times.
