City-wide watch proposed in Claremont

claremont city hallA city-wide community watch is being discussed by downtown merchants and residents in the wake of the vandalism that saw 75 graves damaged at the West Pleasant Street cemetery.
“It is time to clean up the city,” said Brenda Hannah, owner of Simply Comfort, the Pleasant Street restaurant.
Hannah met with other business owners and residents this week to discuss the vandalism, and see what can be done to combat it. City Councilor Nick Koloski, also a business owner, said people are tired of the vandalism and petty law breaking that is happening on Pleasant Street. This story from the Eagle Times.
