The following are the major activities related to the response and recovery efforts from the severe rain event from July 1 and 2, 2013.

The Lebanon Fire Department has been working with Public Works and Police officials to develop a Public Safety Operations Plan for all areas with limited accessibility due to storm damage.
Water Boil Order Lifted, As of July 9, 2013 the Water Boil Order was lifted for the affected residents on Meriden road and Slayton Hill Road.
Slayton Hill Road has been opened to one lane of traffic for residents who reside on Slayton Hill. The road will be signed as one lane only and DPW will be installing several bump outs to allow for passing as needed. It is important to note that backing on this road should be avoided due to the narrowness. Public Works crews continue to provide temporary access to homes on Slayton Hill. A temporary dirt mound was installed at the intersection of Slayton Hill and Dulac
Street to minimize further property damage in the event of additional rain. Removal of storm debris on Slayton Hill will be ongoing for several weeks. Erosion damage to the bridge at the bottom of Slayton Hill has been temporarily repaired. Work is being conducted to clean out the drainage areas on Dulac Street and dirt and material are being removed from residents’ homes on Dulac Street and Tannery Lane.

Mt. Support Road- Road side shoulder replaced
Intersection of Bank Street and Bank Street Ext.-Temporarily repaired washout Pumping Station Road-Sink hole repaired
Eastman Hill Ditches cleaned out
Riverside drive and Bank Street Ext. Repaired washout
Meriden Road New water line installed
