Springfield Vows to Fight Increasing Drug Crimes.

SPRINGFIELD — not in our townResidents of Springfield on Wednesday night sent a resounding message against the ongoing drug-related crime in town, urging greater community involvement to help law enforcement dismantle the growing use of narcotics around the region and state.
An estimated crowd of 150 residents met at Riverside Middle School to discuss last week’s drug raid where 36 suspects were identified in one of the largest criminal busts in town history. In response to the raid, dozens of community organizations and municipal leaders met to discuss potential actions within Springfield, such as neighborhood block watches and more drug education within town schools.
