Thursday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, (NHMS) Sheriffs from all ten New Hampshire counties climbed behind the wheel of their cruisers for a unique road course driving competition to benefit underprivileged children.
The sheriffs competed in two timed runs that were set up by the Sports Car Club of NH for a prize for their county’s child advocacy center. With a sterling time of 44.334 seconds, Strafford County Deputy Mike Raiche captured the top spot of the 2013 Race to Benefit Children Sheriffs’ Showdown winning $10,000 for Strafford’s Child Advocacy Center and taking home a trophy.
