Tree Falls Into Apartment Building -Residents Need to Relocate

bellowsfalls_signBELLOWS FALLS After a tree fell into an apartment building on Hapgood Street Ext. yesterday, residents will have to find somewhere else to stay for an uncertain amount of time. “It shook the whole building.I had to come out in a hurry.” said Peter Lawlor, who lives in an apartment in the back of the building. Lawlor said he was in the shower at the time.
Bellows Falls Deputy Fire Chief John Cenatea said in addition to Lawlor, two other people were in the building at the time, but no one was injured. The Fire Department received the call at 11:36 a.m. and arrived on the scene at 11:38 a.m. Other responders include the Bellows Falls Police Department, Rockingham Highway, Red Cross Ambulance and Green Mountain Power.
