Windsor Man Arrested Last Month May Face Additional Charges

burglarywindsorPolice say a Windsor man arrested last month for allegedly stealing a friend’s money remains a prime suspect in a string of other burglaries in the region.
The Windsor Police Department say Philip Carvalho, 23, remains a suspect in at least five burglaries in the West Windsor and Hartland areas after he they took him in custody May 31 for two charges of felony and several drug misdemeanors offenses. Court documents indicate police also are looking at unsolved forcible entry burglaries in Windsor where a yellow crowbar or screwdriver was used, which puts Carvalho on officers’ radar.
“Seized from Philip’s bedroom was evidence of possession of burglary tools a large flathead screwdriver, a Sawzall blade, a power saw and a yellow crowbar,” according to an affidavit from Windsor Police Sgt. James Beraldi. The town of Windsor in 2012 suffered numerous burglaries in the night-time in which a yellow crowbar and/or a screwdriver was used to forcibly enter numerous businesses’.
