A Claremont man listed as the Fugitive of the Week by the U.S. Marshal’s is in custody after he was arrested on a return flight to the state. Jeffrey Buzzell, 38, whose last known New Hampshire address was in Claremont, was picked up Friday by members of a Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force as he was coming back to New Hampshire from South Carolina, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White. Buzzell was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the NH Department of Corrections-Parole Board for parole violations stemming from his original conviction and sentence for Assault and Receiving Stolen Property. Buzzell is also a suspect in several Claremont area burglaries, including one in which a firearm was reportedly stolen. These burglary investigations are still ongoing and likely additional charges against Buzzell.
