Vermont Holds Public Hearings on Proposed Fishing Regulations

Vermont FishThe Vermont Fish & Wildlife Board will hold three public hearings on proposed regulation changes that increase trout and bass fishing opportunities for anglers and reduce the daily brook trout limit.
Eleven new river sections are proposed for catch-and-release trout fishing. Bass catch-and-release open water angling outside the normal bass would include all lakes, ponds and reservoirs not listed as seasonally closed.
The daily creel limit for brook trout is proposed to be reduced from 12 to 6.
The fish regulation, with the proposed changes is on, under Law Enforcement and Game Wardens.
The three public hearings begin at 6:30 the following locations:
Tuesday, May 28, at St. Johnsbury Elementary School, School Auditorium, and St. Johnsbury. Wednesday, May 29 at the Pavilion Auditorium, Pavilion Building, in Montpelier. Thursday, May 30 at the Kehoe Education Center, Castleton.
