Dartmouth Student Charged for Attempting to Inhale Toxic Vapors

victorA Dartmouth student was arrested on Wednesday for Attempt to Commit Inhaling Toxic Vapors. Police say they went to investigate to a suspicious package at Dartmouth’s Hinman Post Office on May 2, addressed to Mr. Victor Lekweuwa. The package contained four cartons (96 individual containers) of Nitrous Oxide gas canisters. The abuse of Nitrous Oxide gas by Dartmouth students has been a problem for years. The gas is known to cause an intoxicating effect to the abuser when inhaled. Lekweuwa, a 2013 graduate is scheduled to appear in NH Circuit Court in Lebanon on June 24.
