Jarvis Asks For Leniency At Sentencing

Facing at least three and a half years in prison, Anthony Jarvis,34,of 10 Providence Avenue in Claremont, asked for leniency during his plea and sentencing hearing. “This is nobody’s fault but my own,” Jarvis told Sullivan County Superior Court Judge Brian Tucker.
Jarvis pleaded guilty to four felony counts related to his Feb. 22 standoff with police who attempted to search his home for drugs.Thirty-three-year-old Jarvis was indicted by a Grand Jury on May 2 on two charges of falsifying physical evidence, one charge of drug possession and one charge of drug possession with intent to sell.Jarvis, was on parole for a gun related charge when he set off the standoff.
