Lebanon City Council Defeats Expanded Runway

lebanon airportThe City Council in Lebanon NH defeated a plan last Wednesday to expand a runway at the Lebanon Municipal Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sought the $20 million project. Lebanon would have been expected to pay a little over a million dollars.
An FAA spokesman said the airport is in compliance with federal regulations; the project addressed the need for improved runway safety areas.
