An 11 billion dollar budget with no reliance on casino revenue passed in the NH house. Governor Maggie Hassan criticized the plan put together by the Democratic majority since the house cut the $80 million dollars in casino licensing funds Hassan had in her budget
Hassan released a statement saying “We can address the challenges of the House budget by moving forward with a plan to license one high-end, highly regulated casino that will help us invest in our priorities,”
Democrat Steve Shurtleff said the restoration of social programs was an important part of this budget,
Republicans are hopeful that their majority in the Senate will amend some of the spending.
