NH House Passes 16 Percent Budget Increase

NH houseAmericans for Prosperity New Hampshire (AFP-NH) is expressing outrage today over the House budget vote. The House approved a budget that grows state spending by 16 perccent.

“With so many of our residents out of work and even more working hard just to get by, passage of a budget that increases state spending by 16 percent  is reckless and irresponsible,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “Working families and businesses are cutting back and making tough choices. They should be able to expect the same of their state government. Unfortunately, today the House asserted their belief that New Hampshire families and businesses need to carry more of the state’s burden with the passage of this budget that grows state spending by 16 percent.”
The budget (HB 1) passed the House today by a vote of 194 to 172.
