Bill Would Affect Ability to Change Dollar Amounts on Collective Bargaining

collective bargainingThe Senate Public and Municipal Affairs Committee last week recommended Bill 187 for passage. Marjorie Porter (d) Hillsborough introduced HB-187, which calls for the legislative body of the public employer shall not modify HB 187mandates the dollar amount agreed to in a collective bargaining agreement between a public employer and an employee organization and that amount is what the voters should vote on. This applies to deliberative sessions in towns that have adopted official ballot voting.
