Unity Votes Yes on Bond to Complete School

unity schoolUnity voters approved a $550,000 bond on Saturday at their annual School district meeting for the completion of their new elementary school grades K-8. Although the voters approved a $4.7 million bond to build the new school at a special meeting in August 2010, after state officials ordered Unity Elementary School closed due to numerous unresolved fire and building code violations the construction has been plagued with site problems and the need for additional funds. For the past two Saturdays Unity, residents were able to tour the school with Architect Scott Vaughn.
