Local Election Results
Write-in, incumbent candidates won the night with Angie Beaulieau winning back her three year seat on the Croydon School Board as a write in against Jim Peschke. In Newport, Robert Scott resecured his offices of Newport School District treasurer and school district clerk against Gordon B Flint Jr. as a write in candidate.
Incumbents were re elected in Sunapee with Fred Gallup and Emma Smith both beating newcomer, Veronica Hastings.

School Board 3 year term – Angie Beaulieau 80 – Jim Peschke 40
Selectboard Member 3 years -John Clements 99 votes
Newport Election Results
1 School board 3-year term – Karen Little 395, Linda K. Wadensten 305, Scott Ayen 133, Daniel Bailey 167.
School District Treasurer 1 year term– Dr. Robert Scott 352- Gordon B. Flint 236
School District Clerk 1 year term – Dr. Robert Scott 275 – Gordon B. Flint Jr 271 (may be subject to recall)
Article 7 calling for one hundred thousand dollars to be added to the Transportation Capitol Reserve Fund, failed to pass and Article 9 failed which called for on hundred thousand dollars to the School Renovation Capitol Reserve Fund.
Sunapee Election Results
2 Select Board Members 3-year term –Emma Smith 515, Fredrick C. Gallup 697, Veronica Hasting 362,
All Town Warrant Articles passed including Article 11 for a new town library 601-380. Voters did say no to Article 7 on the School Warrant Article asking for $270,000 to enlarge the art room at the Sunapee Middle School. All other school warrant articles passed.
Claremont Election Results
All articles on the Warrant passed except for the Article 11 which called for a cap on school spending put on by petition and requiring 3/5 vote it received 1205 yes votes to 880 no votes falling short of the goal by 39 votes.
The only contested contest was for two 3-year term school members won by Richard Seaman- 1090 and John Napsey-1387.Write-in Brent Fertend garnered 387.
