24 Residents Displaced after Lebanon Fire

Lebanon Fire DeptLebanon Fire Department answered a call at 81 Seminary Hill Road in West Lebanon shortly after 9 am for a report of smoke coming from the 12-unit apartment building. Lebanon Police say light smoke was throughout the basement and first and second floors and they began evacuating residents. The Fire Department found a small fire in a basement apartment and it was quickly extinguished. The building suffered minor smoke and water damage to the apartment. No one was injured, but due to extensive damage of the front stairwell, all 24 tenants are displaced. The VT-NH Chapter of the Red Cross assisted the residents with lodging.
Seminary Hill Road was closed for approximately 1 hour. Fire units remained on‐scene assisting property representatives until 10:30 am.
Hanover, NH and Hartford, VT fire units assisted on scene and Enfield, NH provided station coverage.
The fire is under investigation by the Lebanon Fire Department Fire Prevention Division and is not considered suspicious at this time.
