Manchester Police Murder Case Featured on Discovery Channel


Sgt Fuller recounts his role in the investigation to a Sirens Media production crew

Manchester Police Department is being featured in an upcoming Discovery Channel television program featuring a 1999 Manchester Homicide investigation.
“Nightmare Next Door”, will recount the investigation into the homicide of Mary Stetson, found murder in July 1999. The investigation ultimately resulted in the arrest and conviction of Vaclav Plch, currently serving his sentence of life without parole in New Hampshire State Prison.
Sgt. Scott Fuller, a patrol officer back in 1999, took the initial missing persons report from Stetson’s family, an inquiry that ultimately evolved into a homicide investigation when portions of her dismembered body were discovered in the Piscataquog River on July 20, 1999.
Lt. Soucy and retired Capt. Mark Putney, then a detective and lieutenant detective respectively, were the lead investigators assigned to the investigation, their work lead to the full recovery of Stetson’s body and the ultimate conviction of Plch for First Degree Murder. Discovery Channel expects to air the program later this spring.
