Bill Would Allow Craft Beer in State Liquor Stores

beerCraft beer in NH Liquor stores would be a reality if it were up to democrats in the house and senate. Representatives, Robert Cushing (D) Rock 21. Shannon Chandley (D) Hills 22; Chris Muns (D) Rock 21; and Tim O’Flaherty (D) Hills 12 along with Senator Martha. Fuller Clark (D) Dist 21, are sponsoring HB 275. The bill requires the liquor commission to establish a 2-year pilot program for the sale of microbrewery and nano brewery beers that are made in New Hampshire.
The program would have beer brewed in microbreweries and nanobreweries made in NH available at the Hampton on I-95, northbound and southbound, and in Hooksett on I-93 northbound and southbound state liquor stores.
The Liquor Commission states this bill, as introduced, may decrease state general fund revenue by an indeterminable amount in FY 2014 and FY 2015. There is no fiscal impact on county and local revenue, or state, county, and local expenditures The Bill is due to come out of the Commerce and Consumer Affairs committee on 22 of this month
