A fiery crash took caused the death of a woman and two others to be treated for minor injuries after two cars collided just after 2:30 pm on Monday. Vermont State Police say the accident occurred on Rt. 30 in Jamaica VT when a 1999 Toyota Corolla traveling south, lost control and skidded across the double solid line striking a 1994 GMC Suburban driven by Gavin Scotti 48, of Greenwich VT. Shortly after the crash, the Corolla ignited in flames. The female driver of the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene. Scotti and his 14-year-old daughter were taken to Cottage Hospital and released with minor injuries. Police are withholding the name of the deceased female pending notification of kin.Both vehicles were towed from the scene Jamaica Fire, Londonderry Fire, Rescue and Winhall Police assisted with this crash.
