Animal Rights Groups Protest Bill for Reporting Abuse

horseAnimal rights groups in New Hampshire are protesting House Bill 110 that would requires persons who record cruelty to livestock to report cruelty and submit recordings to a law enforcement agency within 24 hours.
Supporters say it will help police solve crimes immediately and prevent animal rights groups from keeping evidence to use months later for political purposes. However, the Humane Society of the United States says it will prevent whistle blowers from exposing animal mistreatment. Sponsors of the Bill are Rep. Haefner, Hills 37; Rep. Sad, Ches 1; Rep. Shurtleff, Merr 11; Sen. Carson, Dist 14; Sen. Odell, Dist 8.
