Edgar May, a Springfield VT Icon, Pulitzer Prize Winner, and Ex-State Senator died on Thursday at his winter home in Tuscan AZ after suffering a stroke 3 weeks ago. During his Newspaper days, May won a Pulitzer Prize for Investigation of NY State’s Welfare System, for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. May moved to Springfield VT in the 70’s and served as a State Senator for four terms. In addition, May founded the Edgar May’s Health and Recreation Center in Springfield and was a driving force in the organization. His sister is ex-Governor Madeline Kunin
