Lebanon Police Seek Witnesses to Accident

A morning collision on Mechanic Street in Lebanon sent an 86 year old, Lebanon woman to the hospital. Police say, that shortly after 9 am, Jean Sanderson was driving her 2005 Ford Focus wagon east on Mechanic Street before turning into the Barre Tile parking lot. Witnesses say Sanderson immediately turned back onto Mechanic Street to travel in the other direction, bringing the wagon in the path of an oncoming 1998 GMC truck with trailer, driven by Patrick Summer, 28 of North Ferrisburg VT.
Both vehicles substained heavy front-end damage and were towed from the scene. Lebanon Rescue transported Sanderson to a hospital.
This matter is under investigation by Lebanon Police Accident Re-constructionists and police urge anyone who witnessed the accident to call (603) 448-1212.
