Hooksett Man Conficted of Using Counterfeit Bills

A Hooksett man is free on bond pending his sentencing hearing on January 3, 2013 for possession of counterfeit US currency. US Attorney John P. Kacavas announced late last week that Anthony Silva was convicted in a NH US District Court. Silva knowingly kept in his possession with the intent to defraud numerous ten and twenty dollar bills with a $3,000 fraudulent value. The United States Secret Service and the Derry Police Department investigated the case.
