Art Economics in NH

According to a recent survey by Americans for the Arts, 21 percent of NH’s nonprofit arts and culture organizations created $115 million dollars of economic activity and supported the equivalent of over 3,000 full-time jobs. The nonprofit arts and culture organizations generated $11.6 million in local and state government revenue. “New Hampshire’s nonprofit arts and culture organizations have always had anecdotal evidence about how they impact our communities and economy,” said Van McLeod, commissioner of the N.H. Department of Cultural Resources. “This report provides concrete data that strengthens those stories, illustrating the important effect these organizations have statewide.”
