Smaller Towns Have Above Average Turnout

Sunapee, Croydon and Newport all had a higher than anticipated turn out for NH Primary on Tuesday. Secretary of State William Gardner predicted a 16 percent turnout, but Sunapee had a 33 percent, Croydon had a 25 percent and Newport reported a 22 percent voter turnout. All three towns had a higher turnout of Republican voters then Democrats.
Ella Casey, supervisor of the checklist in Newport commented on the accuracy of Secretary of State Gardner for the elections.
