Newport Man Charged in 5 Burglaries in Sunapee and 2 in Goshen

Sunapee Police Chief David Cahill announced at Monday’s Selectboard meeting that a 29-year-old Newport man was charged with 5 burglaries in Sunapee and 2 in Goshen. Christopher Ferraro was arraigned in the 8th Circuit District Court –Jafferey and held on $10,000.00 for each charge. Cahill said, Ferraro was breaking into the homes to support his $300.00 heroin addiction and that Ferrarro drove with the police and showed the houses he burglarized during the months of July and August. Ferraro is currently in the NH State Prison on a parole violation charge. Goshen and Bradford Police aided in the investigation.
Cahill also revealed that Kevin Balch, age 33, of Carroll, NH was found to be a suspect in another break-in in Sunapee. Balch was arrested on June 29, for burglaries in Lebanon NH. See related story
