NH to Receive over $1Million Dollars for Domestic and Sexual Abuse

The New Hampshire Department of Justice is receiving over $1 million dollars to support programs aiding domestic violence victims and help law enforcement catch and convict rapists, Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced on Wednesday.
The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence will distribute some of the funds for two programs operating in New Hampshire for over 15 years. Part will go towards training and supporting domestic violence specialists who advocate for the victim though the child protective services system.
Remaining funds will go to the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program, which helps nurses, trained in sexual assault forensics, care for sexual assault victims.
