New Jersey Family Rescued from White Mountain Trail

An older NJ couple and their adult son were rescued Tuesday night from a White Mountain trail. Jed and Miriam Einhorn and their son Chaim Einhorn of Lakewood NJ were hiking a nine-mile loop, on Mt. Lafayette. Shortly after 9 pm, they called 911 for assistance, since their small flashlight did not light the trail enough to see.
NH Fish and game conservation officers reached the Einhorns shortly after 11 pm, and escorted them down the mountain. Lt. James Kneeland said the family was familiar with the trail, but did not allow enough time to complete their planned hike.
