Manchester Man Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud

A Manchester NH man plead guilty to Felony Insurance Fraud for reporting his 2003 Volvo stolen in May of 2011, when he had actually driven it to a friend’s house in Revere MA for the friend to dispose of.NH State Attorney Michael A. Delaney announced on Tuesday.
Jean C. Cadet plead guilty in the Hillsborough County; Northern District Superior Court after an investigation showed Cadet’s Volvo did not pass inspection in May of 2011 and the registration grace period ended the day after the car was reported stolen.
Cadet received a six-month sentence at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, and fined $1,000. All of the sentence and the fine were suspended for one year upon good behavior and payment of restitution to Progressive Insurance Company
