Over 3000 More Exeter Hospital Patients to be tested for Hepititis C

New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services is doing extended testing of Exeter Hospital patients treated in the Main Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit from April 1, 2011 to May 25, 2012. The OR and ICU were two areas where ex cardiovascular tech David Matthew Kwiatkowski went occasionally to transport patients but not involved with procedures or patient care.
The extended testing comes on reports of Kwiatkoski’s drug use and behavior from other hospitals where he worked and incidence not reported as required by Federal Law. Kwiatkowski has had Hepititis C since at least June of 2010.
Testing starts this weekend from a list supplied by Exeter Hospital to NH DPHS, individuals with questions about the DPHS testing to contact the state directly at 603-271-4496.
