Vermont Attorney General Calls for Investigation On Gas Prices

VT Attorney General William Sorrell is asking the Federal Trade Commission to move beyond monitoring to an investigation of gasoline prices in Vermont. The AG noted, that prices are higher in the NW part of the Vermont than elsewhere in New England.
In response to a request from the Attorney General’s Office, the Vermont legislature passed an act criminalizing anti-competitive collusion in its most recent legislative session. Sorrell offered to meet with the FTC, and to assist them in this investigation, which is so important to Vermonters.
