NH Attorney General to Investigate Hepatitis C Outbreak For Drug Diverter

Attorney General Michael A. Delaney is investigating the facts and circumstances around the outbreak of Hepatitis C in patients treated at the hospital. The AG’s Office announced on Thursday. The AG’s Office is working with the Exeter Police Department and New Hampshire State Police to determine if laws were violated.

Since April 20 patients of Exeter Hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab acquired the contagious liver disease, including one employee
The officials are looking for a drug diverter, someone who uses a syringe to inject himself or herself with medication meant for patients and then uses the syringe on the patient.
